GIF - tutorial.
1. open KM Player (download it for free somewhere on the internet. easiest player to use for frames)

2. select video

3. click on tools (can look different in a newer version of km player)

4. playback controls

5. in the ETC tab, click on ‘advanced’

6. settings should be changed to this: (pick a folder where you want the frames to be saved in)
7. go to the exact moment you want to capture and click start and of course ‘stop’ when you’re done ;)

8. -now let’s make a gif- (in Photoshop CS5.1 in my case)

9. select all the frames you need/want for the gif and click ‘ok’ (now it’ll load all the layers - which, depending on how many you have, can take a little while)

10. Make frames from layers

11. click the little arrow again and ‘reverse frames’

12. select all frames (begin at the first! - use shift to select them all at once)

13. change image size


[now to the coloring]

17. levels

18. Hue / Saturation

19. frame delay time

20. now i deleted every second frame, because i just didn’t need them and because of size matters.

[now the credits]
21. click the type tool (all frames have to be selected again - begin with the first)

22. click the part of the gif where you want your credit

…start typing… :)
23. click the big ‘A’ and pick font, size, color etc.

24. I know selected the ‘I’, because i always make it red
25. Save the gif


(as you can see - more than tumblr friendly!)
… click save… and you’re done ;)
